Although more than fifty years have passed since the release of the first album of the Olympic group, its frontman and leader Petr Janda is still working on new recordings. And he is even currently trying to find a new face and musical direction for his group - as he has done several times in the past. However, in an interview for On Air, he also recalls how he pushed for the release of Rockmap - the first heavy metal compilation in Czechoslovakia - at Supraphon during the previous regime, how he used money changers to find currency so that he could have equipment sent from abroad to his then-emerging studio Propast. but he also talks about his legendary guitars, such as the Jolana Grazioso or the black Gibson Les Paul from the 1950s, which he played in the golden era of the Olympics. And among other things, he also remembers the moment when his parents recognized that choosing big beat instead of classical music was the right choice. Watch the full interview.
