The nearest non-our village is less than a kilometer away, and Ukraine itself is literally a stone’s throw away. But in general, no, people don’t shake hands on the other side anymore. It used to be that neighbors would come across the border to pick mushrooms and berries. And now this common (not on maps, but in real life) land has split into two.
