Our patient, Ms. Gülberi, is the mother of two daughters. She had been suffering from internal varicose veins characterized by lower abdominal/groin pain, which you call chronic pelvic pain, for about 15-20 years (of course, she is not sick anymore ????). When we evaluated the films of our patient, who had uterine-ovarian varicose veins due to intra-abdominal venous insufficiency, which we call pelvic congestion syndrome, we immediately diagnosed her and planned the treatment. However, due to internal varicose veins; she had applied to many specialists, especially gynecology department, for treatment perhaps 40-50 times so far, but had to return home without receiving a diagnosis. Pelvic congestion; is an insidious disease characterized by pain/swelling in the lower abdominal/groin area independent of menstrual period in women who have given birth, sometimes residual varicose veins extending from the groin area to the garden, pain during or after sexual intercourse, and relief of complaints by lying down. The only permanent treatment for this disease is embolization (i.e. blocking and closing the damaged vein). We treated our patient with a painless, incision-free and risk-free half-hour non-surgical embolization method. We send her home safely an hour after the treatment.
