PEA replaces 276,750 electronic meters with rotating disc meters

About :

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has started replacing electronic meters to replace rotating disc meters for electricity users nationwide, totaling more than 19 million, free of charge, totaling more than 2,000,000 units since December 2020 and will gradually replace them to 100% nationwide. The electronic meters can record units remotely via Bluetooth, have digital display screens that are easy to read, clear, and accurate, and can store electricity usage history for up to 45 days, supporting future electricity trading, and have a modern look. For the area under the responsibility of the Provincial Electricity Authority, Zone 1 (Northeastern Region), Udon Thani Province, the replacement will begin in 8 districts of Udon Thani Province, namely Mueang Udon Thani, Kut Chap, Na Yung, Nam Som, Ban Phue, Phen, Sang Khom, and Nong Wua So, totaling 276,750 units, from July 2023 to June 2024. Electronic meters will help build confidence for electricity users in every household with their precise operation and the ability to know electricity usage behavior through analysis through a program that can check for causes and solve problems faster.
