MetroTV, SINCE it was revealed in 2020, the Harun Masiku case has become a huge debt for the KPK to the public. Not only because it was so difficult to catch Masiku, the KPK also seemed sluggish in investigating other names that emerged in the trial of the bribery case for the replacement of members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period from the PDIP faction. In the trial, PDIP cadre Saeful Bahri, who was proven to have bribed former commissioner of the General Elections Commission (KPU), Wahyu Setiawan, said the source of the money came from Hasto Kristiyanto. However, for years the PDIP Secretary General was untouched, until last June he was questioned by KPK investigators. Not only that, in mid-December, the KPK also questioned the former Minister of Law and Human Rights who is also a PDIP cadre, Yasonna Laoly. Yasonna was questioned in connection with Harun Masiku's movements while he was a fugitive and the request for a fatwa to the Supreme Court regarding the replacement position of the elected legislative candidate who died. The case that ensnared Yasonna in the Harun crossing incident also continues to be uncovered. In early 2020, Masiku, who was already on the wanted list, was able to travel back and forth between Jakarta and Singapore. The excuse at that time was the delay in entering immigration data into the Directorate General of Immigration's server. Yesterday, or a day after Hasto was named a suspect, the KPK issued a letter prohibiting Yasonna and Hasto from traveling abroad. Hasto himself was also named a suspect in another case, namely obstruction of investigation. The KPK said he ordered his subordinates to soak Masiku's cellphone. Based on the confession of former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan, the determination of Hasto as a suspect had actually been proposed since 2020. This was due to the evidence that was considered sufficient from the sting operation (OTT) against Wahyu at that time. However, it was actually the KPK leadership at that time who wanted Masiku to be caught first rather than processing Hasto. That way, including from the latest investigation, it is not surprising that the status of the person being investigated was raised to a suspect. Likewise with the prevention of him going abroad. In fact, the continued stagnation of the case should make us suspicious of political pressure. Moreover, last week, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri said she would go to the KPK if Hasto was named a suspect. We firmly state that political pressure, whether from the government or the opposition, should have no place in the eyes of the law. We must encourage the anti-corruption commission to truly pay off the debt of the Harun Masiku case to this nation without any pressure or other interests outside the interests of law enforcement. The way to do this is of course by bringing Hasto's case to court as soon as possible. In the trial, the KPK must be able to present all the strong evidence that has been said to have been obtained. The KPK must also be able to clearly show Hasto's involvement or if later there is a new suspect in the PAW bribery case and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Only through the trial can the PDIP and all the people see whether or not there is political pressure in the case. #BedahMediaIndonesia #harunmasiku #kpk #hastokristiyanto #pdip #Metrotv ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Also follow our social media to get the latest information updates!
