That's going well now. The stones are laid in rows with a third offset. The third and two-thirds stones required for this were supplied and therefore do not need to be cut. We are also using these spacers, which widen the joint by around half a millimeter. This distributes the previously calculated tolerance of one centimeter evenly across the entire row. The manufacturers of concrete paving generally recommend that the stones should not be laid too close together. A slightly larger joint also ensures better filling with joint material and thus greater stability of the paving surface. We're able to get a very good flush finish at the corner, up to four millimeters. That means we measured well and worked cleanly on the edging. The four millimeters can be easily distributed across the rows. To do this, I place the aluminum rail on the row that is in the right position and fix it in place to prevent it from slipping. The stones can be easily moved on the smooth fleece using a spade. Because of the large paving stones, the area has very few joints. So we're working with spacers here again, because the joint pattern doesn't forgive inaccurate work. The last four rows fit in very well and can continue into the path as planned. Here under the fence, it's more or less a coincidence that we don't have to cut the stones. So far, we haven't had to cut a single stone. This ensures a solid, professional and harmonious overall appearance. Four stones have to be cut on the shed door; this can be easily marked with oil chalk. The cuts are quickly made with the 230 mm diamond cutting disc. The area is now finished and should now be swept straight away... #paving #terrace #pathbuilding
