In the video interview she talks about the differences to her debut album "Nie verliebt", features and her home in Berlin-Charlottenburg. On her new album, Paula Hartmann tells stories of mental abysses, drugs and the omnipresent dirt on the streets of Berlin at night. "Kleine Feuer" is the successor to her acclaimed debut "Nie verliebt" from 2022 and perhaps something like the dark sequel to the first record. The setting of the new album is western Berlin, somewhere between Kantstrasse and Wittenbergplatz. No wonder, because Paula explains: "I connect my life with this area. I grew up there. These are the places of my youth." "little fires" - a self-determined step into the future In songs like "Gespenst", "7 Mädchen" or "Sag was" with rapper t-low, Paula Hartmann takes us into the dark depths of her thoughts. She says: "I already knew during the first album that I wanted to write a second one. But I didn't know if I would manage it." Paula Hartmann has managed her second album - and much more than that. The sound of her new record is more condensed and straightforward than that of her debut. But above all, the musician has developed further in terms of content. She says that writing lyrics felt more self-determined as she has gotten older. "I don't think that the second album was harder for me than the first. I even had more to say because I was more confident in saying things that I might have previously formulated as questions." She also said that she didn't feel any external pressure when writing the record. "I was more tormented by myself and my own expectations that the album should be better than the first one. Newer and not 'Nie verliebt 2'." In the video interview, Paula Hartmann also talks about the feature with Domiziana and Verifiziert on her song "gebrochenes Glas", explains what "kleine Feuer" is all about and introduces her favorite place in western Berlin.
