What happened to Jens Bleck? On the night of November 8th to 9th, 2013, 19-year-old student Jens Bleck went out to party with friends at the "Rheinsubstanz", a former discotheque in Bad Honnef. Jens noticed something in the discotheque. He complained and was banned from the premises. Just hours later, the student was dead, and his body was recovered from the Rhine about two weeks later. Jens Henrik Bleck's death is still unexplained, and inconsistencies keep cropping up in the investigation, which was finally closed in 2019. In the film, we reconstruct the night Jens Bleck died together with journalist Wolfgang Kaes. Wolfgang Kaes has been working intensively on the case for years and is in close contact with the parents Torsten and Alma Bleck. Our host Hamzi also speaks to the father, Torsten Bleck, about the night his son died and the years that followed, when the parents themselves pored over files and viewed video footage to find answers to the question of what happened to their son. Ten years have now passed since the death of #JensBleck. This also means that many crimes that you yourself might think you have committed a criminal offense are now statute-barred. Every morning I listen to a true crime podcast to wake up and in the evening I watch a crime documentary to go to sleep. So professionally I've landed exactly where I belong; now I tell true crime stories myself. I delve into the depths of people and try to "get to know" murderers, I visit real murder scenes and speak to victims and those involved. Come with me on a murderous journey of discovery - as host and one of the faces of this channel I'd be happy to take you by the hand.
