It has been held since 1990 and covers topics related to high school. The program is held for one full-time week, from 9 am to 5 pm, independently in the months of January and July, during the school break. Each of the program's modules is held simultaneously at IMPA and at partner institutions across the country. We currently have around 70 centers and 3,000 participating teachers. At IMPA, we have 150 students per module. Lectures are given in the morning and broadcast live via the Internet from IMPA to participating institutions in other states, using the infrastructure of the National Education and Research Network (RNP). In the afternoon, guided studies are conducted under the supervision of teachers from each center. This program resulted in a series of books specifically designed for high school teachers, published in the Mathematics Teacher Collection of the Brazilian Mathematics Society (SBM). In another phase, which had the support of the CAPES-FAPERJ program, the books entitled A Matemática do Ensino Médio – vol. 1, vol. 2 and vol. 3 were produced. Program details: Course Organization: The program is carried out in independent modules, which cover selected topics from the three grades of high school and some topics from elementary school.
