PANORAMIC TREKKING ON THE AMPEZZAN DOLOMITES: PASSO FALZAREGO AD ANELLO AVERAU NUVOLU CINQUE TORRI

About :
Circular hike starting from the Falzarego Pass, going around Mount Averau, passing by the Averau, Nuvolau and Scoiattoli refuges. The starting point of the itinerary is the Falzarego Pass (2110 m), from here take path no. 441 which climbs slightly towards the Forcella Averau (2435 m). You pass near the enchanting Lake Limides and continue to the Forcella. Once you reach the Forcella Averau, you pass under the steep walls of the Averau, always on path no. 441 until you reach the Averau refuge (2413 m). Continuing to the right along the mule track indicated with the signpost no. 439, in just over an hour you reach the top of Nuvolau (2575 m) with the homonymous Nuvolau refuge, from where you can see one of the most evocative views of the Dolomites. Descending from the Nuvolau along path no. 441 you reach the Scoiattoli Refuge (2255 m.) from which you can enjoy a wide panorama with the characteristic Cinque Torri in front, the Tofana di Rozes to the left, Averau and Nuvolau to the right. Tour of the Cinque Torri and its trenches. Return from the Scoiattoli Refuge and descent along path no. 440 along a wood. Once you reach the end of the wood you arrive at Pian dei Menìs (2000 m.) near the road to Passo Falzarego. You go up along an easy path following the sign for Passo Falzarego. You reach the Col Gallina Refuge (2060 m.) and from there in 15 min. the Falzarego Pass.
