This video is a representation of the presentation of the panel discussion between Han de Jong, Willem Middelkoop and Jean-Paul van Oudheusden during the AmsterdamGold Symposium on May 11, 2023 under the title: Because they can't print gold. Han de Jong (macro-economist, house economist BNR), Willem Middelkoop (former founder of AmsterdamGold, author of The Big Reset) and Jean-Paul van Oudheusden (commodities expert and investment specialist) start the discussion with an explanation of the gold price development in the 1920s and 1930s and whether the government can confiscate your gold. Major themes also appear to be the possible arrival of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and Bitcoin as a world currency. The almost inevitable revaluation of gold is also discussed. Wouldn't introducing a new gold standard be very sensible to restore confidence in the system? In fact, the comment is made from the audience that we need a revaluation of gold in this debt society. From the closing remarks of the speakers it appears that Han and Jean-Paul still want to give some optimism to the drinks, but that Willem can draw no other conclusion than that the big reset has really started financially and perhaps even further than that.
