The North Häme Military District was founded by Aaro Olavi Pajarin's 18th Division in June 1941. At the time of its establishment, it included Infantry Regiments 6, 27 and 48, Field Artillery Regiment 19, Heavy Battery 26, Light Division 7, Engineer Battalion 23, Signal Battalion 24, 253rd Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Company and the 13th and 23rd Border Companies. Colonel Aaro Pajarin's division moved to Rautjärvi at the end of June 1941 and its battalions were stationed on the northern border of the Vuoksi watershed for a distance of approximately 40 kilometers. The first attack attempt on Enso was made on 29 June 1941 and the actual hostilities began on 31 July. Pajarin's division was faced with strong Red Army forces, which caused Pajarin's division to suffer heavy losses. By the end of August 1941, Pajari's division advanced through the old Finnish villages of Enso, Jääski, Kirvu, Antrea, Vuoksenranta, Vuosalmi, Äyräpää, Muolaa and Kivennava to the old border at Valkeasaari and Rajajoki, where the attack was stopped. I have searched for the content of the video in the war diaries of the military archives and part of it from the pages of the Kansa Taisteli magazine. I have edited the black and white photographs of the Finnish National Board of Antiquities, the Lappeenranta Museum and the War Archives presented in this video into color images using image processing programs. #Rautjärvi #Imatra #Enso #Jääski #Ilmee #Kirvu #Antrea #Vuoksenranta #Vuosalmi #Äyräpää #Muolaa #Kivennapa #Rajajoki #Valkeasaari #Pajari #Ekman #Haanterä #Järvinen #Mannerheim #
