At the beginning of the summer, I made a tour of less than a week to the eastern parts of the Paistunturi wilderness area. In the highlands, the leaf was not yet on the tree and the flowers had not bloomed. The forecasts had told about the peak of moles coming to northernmost Lapland and the arm region. It would also mean a busy birding summer. The downhill skiers were all in pairs and not in packs, and there was a small warning on almost every cliff face. I saw a barn owl a couple of times, but a vole itself only once. The weather was not very favorable, it rained something on five out of six days. Additional stress was caused by the new sleeping platform, where the air did not want to stay inside. At first I thought I broke the valve, the included filling bag when new required an unreasonable amount of force to get it on or off. At home, a hole was found in the bottom of the platform. It's hard to believe that I could have done it before the first night. And it must be hard for the manufacturer to believe that they put a broken one on sale. However, now it has been patched and should be.
