Concrete floors absorb oil, dirt and other stains - protective epoxy resin coatings help to beautify garage floors and protect them in the long term. An appropriate coating prevents oil stains, tire marks and other dirt and ensures a clean and robust surface. In this video you will learn how to protect a garage floor. We will show you step by step how to clean the floor, prepare it for painting and apply the coating. However, you do have to plan a little time for the project, as you need several coats of paint and these of course have to dry sufficiently. How do you paint a garage floor? 1. Check the surface. This will tell you whether the floor needs to be sanded beforehand and how absorbent the surface is. 2. Clean and sand the floor 3. Prime the garage floor with 2K concrete primer and leave to dry overnight. 4. Allow the first coat of 2K epoxy coating to dry sufficiently. If you sprinkle some dry quartz sand (Kö 0.3-0.8) into the wet first coat, the floor will be more slip-resistant. 5. Apply a second coat and leave to dry for 12 hours. Do not park the car in the garage again for 10 days.
