THE ALTMÜHL - GERMANY'S MOST POPULAR RIVER - 4 FRIENDS - 3 DAYS OF CANOE TOUR AND CAMP LIFE We originally planned to paddle on the upper Danube. But the water level and the weather forecast let us down. Now we had to come up with something new. Coordinating several people's time, planning sections of the route and accommodation, and also taking nature conservation into account are many things that take up time. Time that ultimately threatened to run away from us. On the morning of the start, we changed all our plans at short notice. Our new destination was the Altmühl. To be more precise, we started in Treuchtlingen at the festival site. We found out that the Altmühl is part of the so-called UR-DANU VALLEY. So at least we were able to explore a little bit of the Danube ;) The Altmühl Valley is simply beautiful. We hope you like it just as much! Now sit back and relax and enjoy the tour with us! NATURE CONSERVATION: We didn't camp wild or cut down trees or anything like that. On the tour we collected rubbish in the river and on the banks every day and disposed of it in rubbish bins. Help us and collect rubbish so that our rivers become cleaner again. NAVIGATION: You should also always inspect the weirs before navigating. The water level also plays an important role.
