In the oxidation-reduction reaction, electrons are transferred from one compound to another. The compound that loses electrons undergoes oxidation; and the one that gains electrons undergoes reduction. To identify who lost or gained electrons in the reaction, you need to know its NOX. How to identify this in a chemical reaction? Oxidation occurs when the atom loses electrons, which in turn do not disappear; they will be absorbed by another compound that will undergo a reduction process, that is, receive electrons. Whenever a reduction occurs, oxidation also occurs; therefore, these processes are oxidation-reduction reactions. Questions? Leave them in the comments. ;) ????
