Pretzels, stollen, pastries, cakes, tarts and bread - baker Sebastian is in the bakery every day to make a huge range of products. These are particularly challenging times for the bakery trade, because everything has become more expensive. Energy and also the ingredients for baked goods. We accompanied master baker Sebastian for a day in his job - and that in the particularly stressful pre-Christmas period. In the weeks and days before Christmas, Sebastian has to produce a product that costs a lot of time and money: the Christmas stollen. Absolutely nothing can go wrong, because the raw materials for it are very expensive. If a batch doesn't work, 1000€ worth of goods is gone. Sebastian is employed in his parents' company and, even as an employee, he already takes on a lot of responsibility for the total of 8 branches in Munich. This is also evident in his salary, which is somewhat higher than that of other employed master bakers. As a qualified business economist at the Chamber of Crafts, he checks the figures every day. He also has to have a good overview: While Sebastian's father looks after the pastry shop, Sebastian organizes everything that comes up in the bakery. Is it worth it? That is "Is it worth it?": One person, one job, one life. And at the end of the day, the question is: Is it worth it? We accompany people in their careers and show their lives. Is it worth it to work for a salary and use it to finance your own life? What makes me happy about my work? We don't just compare salaries, we show how people live from their work. We are always looking for protagonists: If you also want to show how you live with your job, feel free to write to [email protected]! On a personal note: We are not infallible either - and although we make every effort to present every individual financial situation in a clear, correct and understandable way, we sometimes need help. The Bavarian State Association of Tax Advisors and Auditors always provides us with competent support in this regard - thank you very much for that!
