Old and youngtimer motorhomes are certainly not the worst way to get started in the motorhome world. Vehicles from the late 80s and early 90s can currently be bought in driving and camping condition for around 7000-9000 euros. Vehicles over 30 years old are often candidates for an H license plate - this means you no longer have any problems with environmental zones, can get very cheap insurance and pay a fixed 192 euros in tax per year. (For very light motorhomes, the H license plate can cost more in tax. In addition, most of the cheap motorhome insurance policies are very limited - usually a maximum of 6000 km per year and a second car is mandatory)
