The atomic bomb is a device that has an incredible destructive force and generates energy through nuclear fission. This type of bomb was designed during the Second World War under the supervision of Oppenheimer and used only on two occasions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan in 1945, ending the war. The heart of the atomic bomb is made of Uranium 235 and Plutonium 239, heavy metals that activate nuclear fission. The functioning of the atomic bomb is based precisely on the chain reaction of nuclear fission, the same nuclear fission that occurs in the reactors of nuclear power plants to produce electricity. But, be careful, the physical principle is the same, but the bomb and the power plant obviously work differently. We have reconstructed the 3D models of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs to see how they are made inside.
