At Wunstorf station, the routes from Hanover to Hamm and Cologne separate from the route from Hanover to Bremen. Two extremely busy main routes are thus brought together here. The traffic in the station is correspondingly intense. Its passing tracks ensure traffic control and the route to the potash mine in Bokeloh is supplied from here.
