????The newest attraction of the Efteling, Danse Macabre, is open! And what an attraction! After more than two years, the time has come: the successor of the Spookslot in the Efteling officially opened today. We were there to film everything. We have one of the first onride videos and interviews with Koen Sanders (director), Tim Nusselein (project leader) and Remco van Hoek (lead engineer). The ride consists of several rotating choir benches on a tilting disk. The ride system is made by the manufacturer Intamin and the model type is a Dynamic Motion Stage. In Danse Macabre, visitors are sucked into the fate of conductor Joseph Charlatan and his orchestra. On Friday 13 October 1876, during a performance of the dance of death, the orchestra members were seized by a dark evil that manifested itself as a monstrous, cat-like creature.
