On the occasion of the International Open Access Week (OAweek), the Penkala association is organizing a series of thematic lectures on the social impact of science on October 22, 2024 for the second year in a row. The series begins with the event: "How to increase the impact of science: Open and commercial science" co-organized by the Institute of Physics and the Nuqleus program. Why is there more and more talk about open science, preprints and reproducibility issues, and what should scientists know about these changes? How does Croatia stand in terms of commercialization of scientific research, open access publishing, perceptions and attitudes about open science? How can projects like the Map of Scientists, the Researcher and Nuqleus be useful to researchers, students and the general development of science in Croatia? Find out the answers at this event and additional online lectures for the rest of the week.
