The Opel Corsa Hybrid is now on the market Arrancamos 2.0, the reference channel in the world of motors on Youtube, eager to regain lost ground thanks to a pseudo-traditional hybridisation that gives it an eco-label with which to compete on equal terms with most of its rivals in the B segment. It has a small 100 hp petrol engine and is more than enough for urban and peripheral environments, even for some adventure beyond. In-depth test of the Opel Corsa hybrid, with an eco-label. Shall we start!? The little German finally has a bit of fang. It has been brought up to date, outside and inside, although we still find nuances in elements that have room for improvement. On the outside it has been polished a lot, but we still have many doubts about the Opel Vizor, that black mask on the grille, on the grille, which in all sincerity, we admit that we do not like and that could be one of the reasons why the brand is not going through its best moment. Inside, it has also improved a lot, a lot, and yet it still does not take full advantage of its potential in terms of dashboard space. In terms of information and presentation, size... everything can be improved. It is NOT a reason not to buy, but it really can be done better. At the engine level, things have improved a lot, although the driving is peculiar, because when you release the accelerator, you stop pressing it, the retention is more typical of an electric or a plug-in hybrid, and the worst of all is that it is not adjustable. You get used to it in minutes, but it is still surprising how a pseudo-traditional hybrid, because it has a 48V battery like micro hybrids, has so much retention, which undoubtedly helps to recharge it. The three-cylinder engine will have its detractors, but for a car of just over 1,250 kilos it is efficient. Even the consumption is fairly controlled, so, without a doubt, it will be a good argument for those who want something economical and with a minimum of quality. Prices have gone up a lot, it's inevitable, but it still has a certain coherence for what it offers, and even more so with that eco label. As for space, in a car that's just over 4 metres long, you can't ask for more, although the boot is a bit tight. It meets the quality, consumption, equipment... although it's not cool that the most complete finish doesn't have a standard navigator. On the I WOULD BUY IT scale, the Opel Corsa Hybrid's score is 6.1. City cars that cost less than 20,000 euros are practically the only solution for those who need a car without having to commit to the third generation. This Opel has improved, it's honest, and the eco label will undoubtedly improve its sales... but things can still be improved, there's room for improvement.
