The Egy hely team is now visiting Eger to present the 40-meter-high minaret tower, the only one in Hungary that can be visited, with a steep 97-degree spiral staircase winding up inside. In 1687, after the recapture of the city, the victors, in their enthusiasm, wanted to pull the Islamic monument down with 400 oxen, but the tower remained standing and has been guarding the 91-year Turkish occupation ever since.
