Skiing in the Innsbruck region in Tyrol: 13 ski areas with over 300 kilometers of slopes, sightseeing in Innsbruck city and a magical visit to the Lumagica light park. Do you also want to go to Innsbruck? Here is the suggested program: https://homeoftravel.de/dein-perfekte... Have you ever been to Innsbruck? And if so, how did you like it? Write us your impressions in the comments below! First, we get the SKI plus CITY pass. You can buy it online or at the tourist information office. This gives you free access to many attractions such as the Bergisel ski jump, Ambras Castle, the Hofburg and the Alpine Zoo and at the same time allows you to ski in 13 ski areas around it. The most famous are certainly Kühtai, the Stubai Valley with the Stubai Glacier, the Patscherkofel and the Nordkette. We'll go to the Axamer Lizum later. But first of all, we'll explore the old town. We stroll towards the city tower. From up there we want to get an overview. The narrow spiral staircase winds steeply upwards over 133 steps. Then we step out onto the viewing terrace. From above you can see very nicely how Innsbruck is surrounded by mountains. Almost encircled. We look over the colorful house facades and over large parts of the city center including the shopping street with the famous Annasäule. On the other side is the Nordkette and below it is the Alpine Zoo. And we also have a good view of the Hofburg and the adjacent Hofkirche. That's where we go next. The Hofburg in the Rococo style, as it stands today, dates back to María Theresa. She was largely responsible for the redesign. The Giant's Hall is particularly impressive. It is called that because giants were once painted on the wall here. There is nothing left of that today. Instead, family portraits of Maria Theresa adorn the walls. Then we slowly make our way back to the hotel. We spend the night at the Nala Individuellhotel. Every room there looks different and the public areas also have an artistic flair. The next morning we head straight from the city hotel to the slopes. We decide on the Axamer Lizum. There are a total of 40 kilometers of slopes here and the ski area reaches up to 2,300 meters. This means that the Axamer Lizum is fairly snow-sure. The first runs are great! The snow is dusty. The cold means everything is very grippy and the sun flashes out from the Kalkkögel. Next we go up to the Hoadl. This is the highest point in the ski area. From there we look towards the Sellraintal, see the Kögele, can see the Wetterstein massif with the Zugspitze and the Karwendel and look down into the Inntal. From here we follow the women's slope. This is great because you ski directly under the steep Dolomite walls. And then it's time to stop for a rest. We treat ourselves to a warm drink in the Dohlennest. We order a "half-half". Half Jagtet, half mulled wine. We end the day in Innsbruck. There we visit the Lumagica. A special light show is waiting in the Hofgarten until January 9th. Numerous light art works decorate the park. Simply magical! We would be happy if you give us a thumbs up if you liked the video. Remember to subscribe & thanks for watching! :)
