After Midsummer 2023, I spent nine days in the Kilpisjärvi region. Coming through Tsahkaljärvi, I went around from the south side of Termisvaara to Kaitajokivarta, up it towards Meeko, up Bierfejokivarta to Urtasjokivarta, along which almost to Lossujärvi. Before Lossu, I went up into the highlands and came to Saarijärvi after going around the largest rock fields. From there via Muurivaara back to Tsahkali. More rain only on the first day. In the early days, the ponies and willow fists ate the man, especially when the ivy appeared in hot weather to bother him. The stone tracks of the last days were easier to walk than feared, the dry weather was favorable and the air was perhaps too cold already. All clothes had to be worn when walking, sometimes even a break jacket. It rained for two nights and the sedges disappeared for a couple of days.
