The carillonneur had had a wish for years and that was a heavy bass bell for the carillon. At the end of 2020, this bell was cast in a completely traditional way by the Spanish bell founder Portilla with the striking tone b-flat0. See this page for more information: https://www.plechelmusbasiliek.nl/bei... . For the sake of the musicality of the new chime, it was decided to exchange the e1 from the carillon with the f1 from the carillon. This bell was also a swinging bell for a while. It was exchanged in 1949 when the new bells were installed. In fact, the swinging shaft was made for this bell in 1929!
