I went to "Haccho-no-yu" in Okukinu Onsenkyo, Nikko National Park, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. It is called "the last hidden hot spring in the Kanto region, surrounded by a mysterious forest," and is a hidden place where you cannot drive to the inn. The 100% natural flowing hot spring has many hot spring deposits floating on the surface, and is a high-temperature hot spring that does not require any reheating. The neutral hypotonic high-temperature hot spring water has a pH of 7.1 and gently penetrates the skin, allowing you to feel the good quality of the spring. The open-air bath in the room is the best hot spring where you can relax in the great outdoors. Although the water is a little hot, I enjoyed it many times. I was honestly surprised because I never thought I would be able to stay at a resort at a hidden hot spring inn, but the food was delicious and I was very satisfied with my stay. I was able to enjoy dishes that I would not normally be able to get, such as venison, duck, trout, and salmon, and the carp tempura was the best. The mixed-gender open-air bath and the women-only open-air bath are also in excellent locations.
