The young farmer Oke Martinen builds his farm and thus the existence of him and his family on many different pillars. That is why the farm faces new challenges every day and there is always something to do for the Martinen family. This episode is about a species protection program of a different kind: The isolated location of the North Sea island of Amrum is ideal for protecting the endangered "Leicoma" pig breed. The former GDR pig breed is hardly found on the mainland anymore because of swine fever. Oke wants to protect the genes - which is why he runs his little ark on Amrum and thus ensures the continued existence of the robust breed. Meanwhile, preparations for the grape harvest are already in full swing on Amrum's only vineyard: Oke has been growing wine together with two winegrowers from the Rheingau for three years and the first harvest is just around the corner. Now the winegrowers are checking the grapes and doing the final work in the vineyard. ___________________________________________________ Author: Laura Zimmermann (Joker Pictures GmbH) Editor: Phillip Jeß ___________________________________________________ Our guidelines for comments: https://www.ndr.de/service/technische... #ndr #ndraufmland #okemartinen #amrum
