50 artists from Tucumán performed on Sunday, January 27 at Plaza Próspero Molina, within the framework of the 59th edition of the Cosquín National Folklore Festival 2019. The delegation consisted of singers Sofía Ascárate, Daniela Cayos, Noelia Scalora, Juan Pablo Ance (who were selected through an audition organized by the Cultural Entity of the Province), “Coqui” Sosa and Adrián Sosa; and musicians Francisco “Pancho” Santamarina, Enrique “Quique” Yance, Marianna Kasakova, Carlos “Café” Valdéz, José Luis Arcuri and Matías Agüero. More than 40 dancers belonging to the Contemporary Ballet of the Province and independent folkloric dancers also took part in the show in which tribute was paid to the Tucumán singer Mercedes Sosa, on the 10th anniversary of her death. The musical direction was by Carlos Podazza, the artistic direction by Patricia Sabbag, the choreographic assistance by Alfredo Vaca and the costume design by Fraktal.
