A dog's motivation and concentration are very necessary in sports. However, it is often difficult for us to engage the dog in training. What can we do to change this? 1. Make sure that your dog feels SAFE in a given environment (or choose a quieter corner). Thanks to this, you create such a bubble of safety. 2. Make sure that the dog is equally eager to eat and play. I call this flexibility of reward. 3. Remember to engage the dog in tasks by surrounding them with cool emotions. This means that you improve the dog's mood BEFORE the task (e.g. active food or a toy) and also after (as reinforcement). 4. You can implement motivational games such as: racing for a reward and giving up; and those for concentration such as look (looking at the motivator) and following.
