The first of them is the expectation that patients will heal on their own, while the cause of the disease is not a weakness of character, but disorders leading to the accumulation of adipose tissue. Myths are also associated with bariatric surgery. It is not the final method of treatment. Although it is true that patients come to it in an advanced state, who were not aware that they could previously benefit from this type of therapy. All these false beliefs mean that the disease is not recognized, and as a result, it is rarely treated.
