The approach is long but the scenery is very beautiful. I personally strongly recommend this tour, as well as a visit to the Matcher Alm. The valley is a bit remote and therefore not too crowded. The huts also have a secret atmosphere and you feel very comfortable. There is, of course, delicious food too! The tour starts at the Glieshof and initially runs at a height over to the inner Matcheralm. For the more leisurely among you, the path now turns off and leads up to the Matcher Alm. Hikers who enjoy walking now follow the forest path to the valley station of the supply cable car from the Oberetteshütte. Suddenly the path turns off and leads in serpentines a little steeper up to a large cairn. From here it is about a quarter of an hour to the hut that is already visible. Once at the top there is a wonderful view out of the valley, but unfortunately not of the Weißkugel. Conclusion of the tour: a nice approach to the hut for an alpine tour the next day.
