The Brazilian Bar Association in Rio Grande do Sul (OAB/RS) will elect a new president. In the dispute, which involves a campaign, the launch of a candidacy, and proposals, just like an election for mayor or governor, two groups are competing to lead the entity for the 2025-2027 three-year period. Group 1 is led by the current president, Leonardo Lamachia, who is part of the OAB Mais group. In the opposition, as was the case in 2021, lawyer Paulo Torelly heads group 2, entitled Muda OAB-RS - Somos tod@s OAB. This Thursday's (21) Conversas Cruzadas, hosted by presenter Léo Saballa Jr., will host live the candidates for the presidency of OAB/RS, Leonardo Lamachia, from group 1, and Paulo Torelly, from group 2.
