Hello, today the time has finally come - after a good 4.5 years of hard and laborious work, a passenger train was able to set off from Nossen towards Riesa for the first time since the end of local rail transport on May 24th, 1998! Countless hours of voluntary work by many helpers, employees and shareholders to clear the track, replace the rotten sleepers and repair two embankment damages were necessary so that a train could run to Ziegenhain again. A few interspersed images give only a fraction of the efforts we have made so that the former railway region of Saxony can keep its name. NRE GmbH would like to thank all helpers and employees for the endlessly hard and lengthy fight! NEXT STOP: LOMMATZSCH!
