About the author: "Jane Austen" was born on December 16, 1775 in the southeast of England. He was the seventh child of a priest. In 1801, when his father retired, the Austin family moved to Beth. The father died in 1805, and Jane Austen and her mother moved several more times, finally settling near Alton in Hampshire in 1809. Jane Austen stayed there and made only a few trips to London. He moved to Winchester in May 1817 due to illness to be near his doctor and died there on July 18, 1817. Jane started writing as a teenager. Before publishing his works, he used them many times and revised them. The four novels Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park and Emma were published in 1811, 1813, 1814 and 1816, respectively, during Jane Austen's lifetime. The novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion were published in 1818, that is, after the author's death. Two works named Lady Susan and The Watsons (unfinished) also remain from Jane Austen's early works. Before his death, he was writing a novel called "Sanditen" of which scattered parts are available. Jane Austen lived in a relatively quiet environment and spent most of her time writing. According to critics, he had a two-faceted genius: he had a strong sense of humor and he knew people's morals and spirits well. Jane Austen's novels are among the most widely read works in world literature, and for about two hundred years successive generations have been reading her novels with increasing interest.
