North. Republic of Karelia. Solo rafting on the Voloma River. PART 1 From August 19-28, 2017, I went alone to the Karelian river called Voloma. I started the rafting from the lakes in the village of Peninga. The river of the same name originates from Lake Voloma. I crossed the entire river and sailed to the Segozerskoye Reservoir. I moved along the reservoir through the islands to the east, and then to the southeast to the village of Velikaya Guba. In 10 days I sailed a little more than 220 kilometers. PART 2 - • North.
