Setwan Barut – Muara Teweh, 08/09/2024. The Chairperson of the North Barito DPRD, Ir. Hj. Mery Rukaini, M.IP, along with a number of DPRD members attended a friendly invitation organized by the North Barito Regency Government at the Regent's Official Residence, Sunday (8/9). This event was held to welcome the arrival of Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) who arrived in Muara Teweh with his entourage. Ustadz Abdul Somad, a famous cleric who is popular in Indonesia, arrived at H. Muhammad Sidik Airport at 14.15 WIB. This is his third visit to North Barito. Previously, UAS had given a sermon at the opening of the Muhammad Sidik Islamic Center Mosque and the Sirotul Mustaqim Grand Mosque. On this visit, UAS is scheduled to give another sermon at the Muhammad Sidik Islamic Center Mosque in the evening. This friendly event was attended by the Acting Regent of North Barito, Drs. Muhlis, and several other important figures. The Chairperson of the DPRD, Ir. Hj. Mery Rukaini, along with DPRD members such as Rujana Anggraini, SE, MM, Ardianto, Sri Neni Trianawati, SE, and Patih Herman also participated in the meeting which was warm and full of familiarity. UAS's arrival was greeted enthusiastically by the local community and government, considering his popularity as a cleric known for his soothing preaching. His presence in Muara Teweh was an important moment for the people of North Barito, especially in increasing religious spirit and togetherness.
