About :

The electric car takes away our freedom. Does that seem exaggerated to you? I'll prove you wrong. Electric cars have many drawbacks... but also many alternatives. We're going to tell you about them all... A video that can help you clarify your ideas and in which we have the help of our "Hermetic Whiteboard". And you will be surprised by the "Car of the Day". #cars #electriccars #electricvehicle Become a member of this channel to enjoy the benefits: / hermetic garage The greatest virtue of the automobile since its birth is that it has provided human beings with unprecedented freedom. Because movement, transport, the possibility of traveling for the majority of the population of all social classes, where and when we want, without ties, is one of the essences of freedom. From its birth until today. Unless it's electric. With an electric car, on a trip you have to plan everything, make reservations, go where we can find chargers… improvising is more than difficult, it is simply impossible… and don’t let the supporters of electric cars tell me that it is possible… because it is not! There are more attacks on freedom. The fact is that electric cars are talked about a lot on technical issues, but not on the most important ones: the socio-economic ones. Because they are going to change our mobility and we run the risk of causing a fracture in society and finding that there is one mobility for the rich and another for the poor. Who can buy an electric car and set up a charging point at home? I am not going to point out one brand or another, but all of them. All the autonomy advertised by the brands are false… They are measured with professional drivers in optimal traffic situations. They are done in optimal temperature conditions, in which there is no need to use the heating or the air conditioning… the great enemy of autonomy in electric cars! In thermal cars, heating is “free” and the A/C costs us 0.25 to 0.40 l/100 km… I have been taught that the most ecological thing is to repair and reuse. A thermal car that is 15, 20, 25 years old or more is perfectly usable… and repairable. And an electric one? Well, today, it is unknown, but we must not forget one thing: There comes a time when the battery costs much more than the car. You are not going to buy a €5,000 car with a bad battery that costs more than €10,000 to change. A car pollutes based on the environmental impact of its manufacture, use and recycling. And we come to recycling: Although lithium-ion batteries are recyclable, current recycling rates are low. Actually, very low, according to the International Energy Agency, currently only about 5% of lithium-ion batteries are recycled, which means that a significant amount of materials still end up in landfills. Electric cars are noticeably more expensive. And some will think that new, more affordable electric cars are already starting to become available… but what about used ones? Imagine that you don't have a car or a large income and you get a job 30 km from home with a difficult, difficult or impossible combination of public transport. There is no need to panic, because for me the most important thing is that there are alternatives! Hybrids: Commitment. Hybrids, especially plug-in hybrids, have the virtue of combining the advantages of electric and thermal vehicles. In the city they can be 100% electric, but if you have to go on a trip, you can, and with the advantages of hybridisation. Gas: The unknown. Whether it is LPG or “liquefied petroleum gas” or CNG or “compressed natural gas” they do not offer zero emissions, but they do offer less harmful emissions, among other things because they do not pollute with particles, they are cheap to install, buy and use and the issue of autonomy and in terms of autonomy, it does not maintain it, it doubles it! Synthetic gasolines. Smart. I have always said, what is smarter? Changing all cars or just one fuel? Synthetic gasoline is made by “taking” CO2 from the atmosphere, treating it if possible with renewable electricity and when it is burned, it releases CO2, but the impact is neutral. You have two drawbacks: The first, it will be expensive when it is available… although you have to do the math, because changing cars will still be more expensive. The second, although the environmental impact is zero, where it is used it pollutes. Hydrogen: The future. A hydrogen car is still an electric car with a generator. What happens is that hydrogen combusted with oxygen only releases water, water vapor. And so it has all the advantages of an electric car. The Toyota solution. A novel one. Toyota is researching a smart technology that requires no additional energy to operate. Circular filters located at the front of the car capture carbon dioxide, using the residual heat from the engine to convert it into an easily removable liquid.
