Available until 15/11/2025 When she was young, Norma dreamed of a career as a dancer. But she had to give it up: a real heartbreak. Now that she is 67, she will finally be able to realize her dream in an Edinburgh troupe open exclusively to the elderly. Every year, in August, Edinburgh hosts the Fringe, the world's largest festival dedicated to the performing arts. And each year, Prime, the troupe for over 60s, performs with a choreography designed by its members. For Norma, practicing dance at an advanced age means letting her whole life express itself. At first, not being able to perform certain movements or bend down as in the past was certainly a challenge. But the sixty-year-old confides that over time, she has learned that what matters is not the figures performed, but what the body tells through dance.
