In this video I will tell you about the Nikolaev breed of pigeons. Pigeons are one of the most famous species of birds that can be found in almost any corner of the planet. They differ in flight altitude, habits, plumage, coloring. High fliers, of which there are about 20 species, are highly valued among hobbyists. Many poultry farmers are attracted by solid-colored butterfly pigeons, which got their name due to their constantly fluttering wings. The butterfly pigeon is a clean bird that needs a clean and dry dovecote. A prerequisite is not only timely cleaning of the room, but also regular replacement of the hay bedding in the nest boxes. You should not build a dovecote near telephone lines and power plants, since high fliers are very sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. Pigeons of the Nikolaev breed were bred in Ukraine, in the city of Nikolaev. These birds are also called "cloud cutters" or butterflies. They got this name due to their very beautiful flight style. Their body is designed in a special way, as if specially created so that when flying to a great height, it could resist the force of the wind.
