First time revealing the dark side of MC profession Nguyen Ngoc Ngan (born March 9, 1945) is a Vietnamese-Canadian writer and MC. Initially, he was known as a writer whose books were well received by overseas Vietnamese. Since 1992, he has been taking on the role of MC of Paris by Night. Biography Nguyen Ngoc Ngan was born on March 9, 1945 in Phuc Tho district, former Son Tay province (now part of Hanoi), the third child in a family of 6 children. In 1954, he migrated to the South with his family, living in a Catholic hamlet near Cu Chi, Gia Dinh province. In 1957, his family moved to live in Ong Ta intersection (in Tan Binh district, former Gia Dinh province). During high school, Ngoc Ngan attended Nguyen Ba Tong School (now Bui Thi Xuan High School, Ho Chi Minh City) and Chu Van An High School (Saigon). During this time, he studied with and became close friends with people who later became famous artists, Giang Tu and Che Linh. For a time, he studied drama at the Saigon National Conservatory of Music and Drama.
