Porsche’s mini SUV has been given a major makeover for 2024, and there’s one key difference – it’s now fully ELECTRIC! Some might not like it, but Porsche being Porsche, they’ve gone all out with the new Macan. So let’s take a closer look together. On the outside, Porsche has done what it always does – make sure you immediately recognize the brand, but they’ve still made some noticeable changes. Starting at the front, the grille has been replaced with a larger lower air intake, and the new headlights are almost exactly the same as those on the Taycan. From the side, it’s still the same Macan, but it’s at the back that the changes are much more noticeable. That part of the car has been given a much lower stance, improving its aerodynamics, and whether that looks better or not, we’ll leave that up to you to decide. Inside, the new Macan is again very similar to the Taycan, but that’s a good thing, right? Inside, there’s a curved, high-resolution display, plus a large infotainment screen in the centre of the dashboard. Even the front passenger gets their own screen, which is perfect for browsing Carwow. What really sets this car apart from the previous model, though, is the power. The entry-level twin-turbo engine can produce 408bhp, while the range-topping Turbo produces 640bhp and a whopping 1,130Nm of torque – that’s 80Nm more than the Taycan Turbo S! Porsche also claims it can hit 62mph in just 3.3 seconds, but in this video, we’ll see what it can really do! The new Macan will start at around £70,000, with the Turbo version set to cost around £95,000. But is it worth it?! And you and Matt will find out at the end of the video. Let’s get going!
