In the year of the consecration (1982) of St. Philippus on Munich's Westendstrasse, no bells could be heard - there was not enough money. In 2016, a group of parishioners decided to campaign for new bells of their own. A long journey came to an end in spring 2019. Four new bells with a total weight of over five tons now fill the district with their sound. An hourly chime was dispensed with. The bells can be heard individually or in full ring every day at 12:00 noon, in the evening at 7:00 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and before the individual services. According to the notice in the display cases, all people pictured have consented to the publication of the images. Commercial use is not permitted. Appropriate licenses for the music were purchased. A film by Christian Greil, pastoral assistant and youth pastor in the Laim parish association.
