A young woman Stefania receives an award at a festival in Paris for her documentary. And the film is about the fate of the once popular actresses Edith Beres and Leda Nezhina. The story of two women connected by one man. Edith was happily married to a wonderful writer, she was a star of the screen and stage, conquering a wide audience with her beauty and wayward antics. However, during the war, one high-ranking official tried to make her his mistress, to which he received a harsh rebuff. Through his efforts, Edith fell into disfavor. Trying to protect her husband from attacks, she decides to get a divorce, and very soon her place in his life and on stage is taken by Leda Nezhina. Edith will face persecution and imprisonment. Many years later, these two women will meet, ending up in the same nursing home.
