We spoke with one of Japan's leading actors, Nishida Toshiyuki. In PART 1, we look back on the time that formed the foundation of his current activities, including his memories of going to the cinema with his father as a boy, his admiration for movies, and his work with the theater company "Seinenza" after moving to Tokyo to become an actor. [Cast] Nishida Toshiyuki: Born in 1947, from Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. He joined the theater company "Seinenza" in 1970, and attracted attention with the stage play "Sharakukou", and gained popularity with TV dramas such as "Journey to the West", "Ikenaka Genta 80 Kilo", and "Onna Taikoki". He has appeared in many films such as "Dunhuang" and the "Tsuribaka Nisshi" series, and has won many film awards, including the Best Actor Award. He has been active in a wide range of fields, including film, television, stage, and radio. Dokumamushi Santaro: Born in 1936, from Tokyo. He made his debut at the age of 12 in the stage play "The Hill Where the Bell Rings". He appeared in youth films for "Toho" and "Daiei", and graduated from the Film Department of the Nihon University College of Art in 1934. She gained popularity for her roles as a member of the Ultraman and Ultra Seven squads. She has been active as a radio personality on the Music Present radio program since 1969, and continues to do so to this day. Yuki Nagamine: Born in 1963 in Saitama Prefecture. After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Ritsumeikan University, she joined TBS as an announcer in 1987. After working on information and variety shows such as Morning Eye and Waiwai Sports School, she has appeared mainly in news programs such as N-Sta. She left TBS in March 2023 and has been active in a wide range of fields as a freelance announcer.
