That's why the city dwellers leave the city empty and rush to the village. It is customary to celebrate Dashain before going home. If you are not at home even on Dashain, it is said that you did not go on Dashain? Because even Muslim neighbors who don't observe Dasha here, even if they don't observe Dasha themselves, they go to their Hindu neighbor's house on Dasha with bananas and fruits. In this way, Dashain is not only original but also a common festival of every Nepali. However, it has been reported all over the world that Nepali people celebrate Dashain and the heads of various countries can be heard wishing Dashain. Indeed, Dashain has become a festival that binds Nepalese people together. But unfortunately, since a few years, some people who can't be counted on their hands have started boycotting Dashain as a bad festival. They say that Dashain is a festival that was started to celebrate the defeat of the tribe. It is a Hindu festival so we don't accept it. But if that is the case, looking at the facts, this is not a Hindu festival but an original Nepali festival. It is also a festival celebrated in the joy of defeating the Asuras by the Durga seated in the remote villages of the Himalayas. The goddess is worshiped on the next Dashain. And 99 percent of Nepal's goddess temples have tribal priests. For that, let's see some goddess temple priests. Mankamana Devi temple where the main priest is Thapa Magar. Who considers himself the tenth child of Lakhanthapa. This is their traditional profession. Another is the Satuchandi temple in Syangja where a fair is held during Dashain. Where there is a priest named Prem Thapamar. Women are not allowed to enter the temple where women are worshipped. Similarly, the Gadimai Temple of Bara where devotees come not only from Nepal, but also from India, Bangladesh and Bhutan. This is the largest sacrificial temple in South Asia. Where there are Tharu priests. Similarly, Bajracharya of Navadurga Bhagwati in Bhaktapur, Bajracharya of Dakshikali Bhagwati temple in the valley. Rai in Chhintang Devi Temple in Dhankuta, Tharu in Rajarajeshwari in Saptari, Ranamgar in Budhasubba in Dharan. In Palanchok Bhagwati of Kabre, Bajracharya is not one or two of these, but 99 percent of Devi temples have tribal priests. In that case, do we need any other proof that this festival of sacrifices to worship the goddess also started from the tribes? Looking at it this way, it seems that Dashain is a festival that was adopted by Brahman Kshetri, especially Dashain tribes. And who are the goddesses worshiped in Dasha?
