Nepal was born from a magical lotus flower in the lake that occupied the Kathmandu Valley. Today, Nepal is remembered as the land of meditation and harmony where the spiritual surpasses political conflicts, with an extraordinary culture and art. Eight of the fourteen peaks above 8,000 meters on the planet are here. The names of Everest, Kanchenjunga or Annapurna attract and captivate mountain lovers from all over the world. Nepal is a true mosaic of races from different cultures that live together in peace, since respect is an essential characteristic of the Nepalese. No one tries to adopt their way of life, but they do expect their traditions and customs to be respected. The Nepalese are supportive, live together in peace and enjoy the little they have. They treat strangers with respect and courtesy and smile frequently, while their eyes remain serene, full of wisdom. Bhutan, a land hidden in the heart of the great Himalayan region; spirituality in the fortress-monasteries or dzongs that guard the cities and in the temples and monasteries that dot the small villages, show us lives dedicated to meditation and transmit a spirituality (as mentioned before) practically impossible to find in the West. The Bhutanese people, with great independence, have lived a long life of isolation from the rest of the world, with this they have managed to maintain the cultural and spiritual heritage of their old traditions.
