The 85th episode of MF Cast is with Dr. Massahiro Ono, a physician, cattle rancher, and owner of Nelore Ono. A descendant of Japanese immigrants, Dr. Ono shares his exciting personal and professional journey. From an early age, both he and his father had the great dream of seeing him graduate in medicine. His father always believed in his potential and, despite all the difficulties he faced, encouraged him to take the entrance exam to study medicine in Curitiba-PR. After being accepted into the Federal University of Paraná, Dr. Ono took the first step towards realizing the dream that was both his and his father's. Always dedicated, Dr. Ono completed his medical residency and nurtured the desire to follow new paths in Mato Grosso, with the dream of becoming the owner of a hospital. With this goal in mind, he and two doctor friends moved to Colíder, in Mato Grosso. Dr. Ono got married in Curitiba and took his wife, who was a nurse, to their new life in the state, even living in the hospital for a few months while they built their house. Over time, Dr. Ono was able to acquire his own hospital, fulfilling a great dream. In 1990, while visiting an agricultural fair, Dr. Ono learned about the Nelore breed and fell in love with its characteristics, deciding that this would be the breed he would raise, even before he owned any land. He bought 5 acres of land and gradually expanded his activities. At one point, he sold all the cattle he owned to focus exclusively on raising Nelore, seeking genetic improvement. Today, he is a reference in genetic improvement and livestock, leading Nelore Ono. Dr. Ono emphasizes that his achievements would not have been possible without the constant support of his wife, and speaks fondly about the legacy he intends to leave to his children.
