Nayarit: Inauguration of priority and infrastructure projects. Saturday, September 28, 2024 President AMLO. We inaugurated in Nayarit the 'Alejandro Gascón Mercado' Irrigation District for the benefit of agricultural producers in the north of the state and priority works that promote tourism in the area and represent the struggle of the entity's inhabitants for justice. This irrigation district was built in collaboration with military engineers to supply water to 42 thousand hectares. The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jorge Nuño Lara, reported that throughout the six-year term, 55 million Mexicans have benefited through the construction and modernization of 546 roads and highways nationwide with an investment of 227 thousand 464 million pesos. In addition, 23 priority projects were delivered in Nayarit: -Five labor roads -14 rural roads -Three highways -Construction and modernization of the Nayarit International Airport. On Monday, September 30, as the last act of government, we will have a meeting with the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum and world leaders who will attend the change of government on October 1.
